If you have a particular colour in mind from another manufacturer, simply provide us with:

  • Colour reference or number, if available

We'll then check the colour and determine whether the appropriate recipe is available through our supplier.

What If My Colour Isn't A Farrow & Ball Or RAL Colour?

We understand that you may have your heart set on a particular colour from another manufacturer.

If the colour isn't part of our standard Farrow & Ball or RAL options, our supplier may need to obtain the specific colour recipe from their laboratory before the coating can be produced.

A Small Surcharge May Apply

Where a colour recipe needs to be obtained from the laboratory, a small additional surcharge may apply.

This covers the cost of obtaining the specialist colour recipe required to produce the coating.

We'll always let you know before proceeding if an additional colour-recipe charge applies, so there are no unexpected costs.

Why Is A Colour Recipe Required?

Professional kitchen coatings aren't simply mixed by adding a little more of one colour until the shade looks right.

A specific colour requires the correct formulation to produce the intended result.

When a colour isn't already available within our supplier's standard formulations, the laboratory may need to create or obtain the appropriate recipe.

This allows the coating to be produced as closely as possible to your chosen colour reference using the professional coating system being applied to your kitchen.

We can mix and match colours outside of Farrow & Ball and RAL where possible.

If the colour requires a new laboratory recipe, the additional colour-recipe surcharge may apply.

We'll confirm this with you before the work proceeds.

A Note About Colour Matching

While we can achieve very close colour matches, no colour match should automatically be considered a guaranteed 100% identical match.

Different manufacturers use different coating systems, pigments and formulations.

The final appearance can also be affected by:

  • Sheen level
  • Surrounding colours
  • The coating system being used

For this reason, if you're trying to match an existing item in your kitchen, we recommend discussing it with us before choosing your final colour.
